Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Pangea Research website at pangearesearch.io (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Pangea Research LLC ("Pangea Research", "we", "us", "our"). We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page. Material changes will be communicated by email where you have provided one. Your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to submit a contact form, subscribe to our newsletter, register for an event, or otherwise interact with the Site. By using the Site you confirm that you are 18 or older.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 and we do not operate a parental-consent flow. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Site Content and Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, downloadable resources, and design, is owned by Pangea Research or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Your license. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view Site content for personal, non-commercial reference, subject to these Terms.

Restrictions. You may not:
- Reproduce, redistribute, republish, or commercially exploit Site content without prior written permission
- Submit Site content to AI training systems, large language models, or machine learning datasets without our written consent
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Site responsibly and ethically. You agree NOT to:

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, networks, or data
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract Site content without written authorization
Upload malicious code, exploit vulnerabilities, or interfere with Site operations or other users' access
Impersonate any person, entity, or Pangea Research staff
Submit false, misleading, or harassing content via our contact form or newsletter signup
Use the Site for any activity that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law

Third-Party Services and Links

The Site may integrate with or link to third-party services, including bot-protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), email delivery, and external websites. We are not responsible for the content, terms, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

No Professional Reliance

Site content, including articles, downloadable resources, and reference materials, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, security, intelligence, or other regulated professional advice.

You are solely responsible for how you apply information found on the Site.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PANGEA RESEARCH DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any content will be accurate, complete, or current.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PANGEA RESEARCH AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
Service interruptions or data breaches
Errors or inaccuracies in content
Actions taken by you based on information found on the Site

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pangea Research and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

Your use of the Site or violation of these Terms
Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party
Content you submit through the contact form, newsletter signup, or any other Site channel

Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising from or related to them or the Site shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Informal resolution first. Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 60 days.

Binding arbitration. To the extent permitted by applicable law, if informal resolution is unsuccessful, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or related to these Terms or the Site shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or remotely, at the arbitrator's discretion). The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class action waiver. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AND PANGEA RESEARCH AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Pangea Research.

Opt-out. You may opt out of the arbitration and class action waiver provisions by sending written notice to [email protected] within 30 days of first using the Site. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Exceptions. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction for claims related to intellectual property rights or unauthorized access to the Site.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pangea Research regarding your use of the Site. These Terms supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.
